South Africa: How Chippa United beat Serbian club Partizan Belgrade for Nigerian forward Etiosa Ighodaro

Nigeria uprising striker Etiosa Ighodaro amazing talent caught the attention of Partizan Belgrade of Serbia to enquire for the young talisman after impressive campaign. 

South African Premiership club, Chippa United having push forward for the signature of powerful forward Etiosa Ighodaro, has successfully snatched the Nigeria attacker from Belgrade side.

Serbian giants Partizan Belgrade showed interest in the Mamelodi Sundowns player who impressed while on loan last season.

As the University of Pretoria came close to making a return to Mzansi’s topflight after an impressive campaign in the GladAfrica Championship, Nigerian striker Etiosa Ighodaro was one of the outstanding players for the side with four goals.

Chippa United made the announcement on their Twitter handle on Tuesday.

“We are delighted to welcome young exciting centre-forward Etiosa Ighodaro to the club.

“The 21-year-old Nigerian striker will add more firepower to our strike force.

“Club Chairman, Mr. Siviwe Mpengesi said “Etiosa is a natural goalscorer who will soon become a firm favourite with our fans. I’m happy he has chosen to join us, as he had a lot of interest from other clubs.”

With the signature of Etiosa Ighodaro by Chippa United, they have added another amunition to their attacking line.
