Nigeria under 20 national team are set to lock horns with South Korea later this evening with a high flying aura after defeating host nation Argentina, the national team coach is confident that his boys will soar past the Asian side tonight.

All eyes are on the only African nation left at the FIFA Under-20 World Cup, the national team manager has disclose to news men that his side has what it takes to beat South Korea. 

Flying Eagles coach Ladan Bosso said he and his technical crew had watched South Korea’s games at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Argentina and they are very much aware of how to face their quarter-final opponents on Sunday.

We Are Ready for the South Korea Game - Flying Eagles

Ahead of this Sunday encounter the Flying Eagles of Nigeria landed in Santiago del Estero on Friday and are said to be battle ready to defeat the Koreans’ hurdle for a chance to make it into the semi-final stage for a fourth time.

It's no longer news Ladan Bosso’s boys stunned host country, Argentina with a surprise 2-0 victory in the round of 16 on last Wednesday while South Korea defeated the other South American side, Ecuador in a five-goal thrilling match that ended 3-2.

Nigeria manager Bosso, We Know their Tactics and Strategies 

Ahead of tonight match, former El-Kanemi coach who led Nigeria to the U20 World Cup in 2007 said he is aware of Korea’s tactics and he urged his team not to lose concentration.

Bosso told NFF Media: “We are delighted to have executed a perfect game plan against Argentina. Our strategy and tactics worked out and the boys worked very hard. Now, we have to concentrate on what to expect from the Koreans.

“We have been watching their games at this championship and we have a good idea how to prepare for them.

“Again, the boys must work hard and carry out our plan on match day. We have the playing personnel to do the job and I am positive we will cross the Korean hurdle.”

Bosso has History with the Flying Eagles at the Quarter Final

During the 2007 edition of the U20 World Cup, Bosso’s then team failed to fly past Chile in the quarter-final to in extra-time, but the 55-year-old is confident his current team will avoid the slip as they aim to better Nigeria’s achievement in the competition.

“It is a new day, a new championship, a new city and a new team,” he continued.

“Nigeria has been in the final of this same competition on two previous occasions. Our objective is to at least match that feat. Once we’re in the final, anything can happen.

The Nigeria flying eagles group stage opponents Brazil and Italy are still in the competition and will pose great challenge for the under-20 boys going forward in the games. But the main aim for the lads currently is to defeat the Korean side in the quarter final.
