Super eagles Forward Ighalo Helps Al Hilal to their 18th League Title.

Al Hilal Sc has emerged champions of the Saudi Arabia Pro league title for the 18th time following their narrow 2:1 win against Al Faisaly yesterday, Monday 27th June 2022.

The Blue Waves under the tutelage of  Ramon Diaz came into yesterday's game knowing that a win against Al Faisaly, will give them the greater advantage over closest rivals Al Ittihad who were also eyeing the cup.

The more reason why yesterday's final league game was more than a final for the Ramón Diaz tutored side. However, it wasn't until the 7th minutes when  Super Eagles striker Ighalo pounced on a through ball from Michael Richard Delgado de Oliveira to open the score for the eagles.

In the second half of play (64th minute), the Brazilian turned provider again for Odion Ighalo to extend their lead, the visitors however pulled one back in the 70th  minute courtesy of a Khabib Al Kabi's goal.

But it wasn't enough for the visitors as Al Hilal held on for a 2-1 win that ensured they finished with 67 points from 30 matches three points above close challengers Al Ittihad who failed to win on the night.
