Super Falcons manager Randy Waldrum has taken a swipe at the Nigerian media and labelled sports journalists in the country “very negative”.
Waldrum’s criticism comments of journalists came on the back of the Super Falcons’ 2-0 defeat of Botswana in their second group game on Thursday night.
The American revealed his displeasure with the Nigerian media for the umpteenth time as he had in the past also taken aim at the media.

According to reports by some Nigerian journalists in Morocco, the coach restricts them media coverage of the team walk on Thursday.
Angry Waldrum had stated his displeasure with the Nigerian media’s handling of the team’s captaincy issues.

During the trip to Canada where the Super Falcons faced the Canadian team in a friendly, the coach blamed Nigerian journalists for inaccurately reporting the matter.
“You know what? I really don’t want to comment on that right now because one thing I want to say is the Press in Nigeria make a lot of comments that aren’t accurate, ” Waldrum said at the time.
