According to Findings by Global Patriot News reveal a plot by the disciplinary Committee to circumvent Justice in a case involving Fc Ona Pal vs J Atete Fc / Essien Ayi Fc to favour and hand Essien Ayi FC the promotion playoff ticket.
For the first, FC Ona Pal filed a protest against J Atete Fc for fielding three ineligible players in their NLO match on Friday 5th August 2022 .
On receipt of the petition and acknowledging the merits of the protest will disrupt the plan to hand Essien Ayi Fc the NLO Playoff ticket, the board immediately revisited a good as gone match between Essien Ayi Fc Vs Fc Ona Pal with the intention of framing a charge against Fc Ona Pal and deny the club a place in the Playoffs .
The board is alleged to have concluded plans to hand Essien Ayi Fc the Group D1 playoff ticket following a relationship matched upon their contact on June 14 .
The contentious Group D1 of the 2021/2022 Nigeria Nationwide League One table has Essien Ayi Fc in top spot with 30 points from 14 matches a point above Fc Ona Pal with 29 points .
Fc Ona Pal are in prime position to overtake Essien Ayi Fc if the NLO activates the relevant articles to award them maximum points against J Atete Fc for fielding NNL registered players in the match .
When that happens, Fc Ona Pal will replace Essien Ayi at the Promotion playoff vs Aspire Fc on August 14 in Markudi .
In a move that further strengthens concerns over the neutrality of the board on the Case, the NLO disciplinary Committee meeting earlier scheduled to hold today Wednesday 10th August 2022 was moved by 24hrs for the Essien Ayi Fc Vs Fc Ona Pal case to be heard for a third time in two months on a fresh charge , while the petition by Fc ONA Pal was moved forward by a week.
The sitting coming days after Essien Ayi Fc is billed to participate in the Promotion playoff vs Aspire Fc on August 14 , will be a gross infringement on the petition of Fc ONA Pal and their aspiration to emerge Group D1 representatives for the playoffs.
When contacted for his comments on the story by Global Patriot News, Mr Ogunshola Chief Operating Officer of the Nigeria Nationwide League One denied knowledge of the postponement of the case till next week . He went further to confirm the hearing on both cases will now hold on Thursday 11th August 2022 at the NLO Conference hall In Abuja .
As the NLO Disciplinary Committee sits, Nigerian soccer fans, Football stakeholders and the press will be on watching to see how the allegations of unethical relationship will be proven or thrashed away for the sake of precedence and to ensure fairness and justice served to the concerned parties in this case.
