Nigerian players are gaining media traction in European elite leagues, as the new 2022/23 is in couple of weeks ahead, Nigeria EPL fans will see more of her nationals in the EPL. 

Many fans are hoping these Super Eagles players should act as one the pillars of their respective teams in the Premier League.

The English Premier League is expected to get underway in August, with clubs hoping to achieve their objectives. It's their respective objectives that had made some PL clubs to acquire top Super Eagles players to execute their plans.

Nigerians who moved to the EPL this summer would be expected to play important roles for their teams as they have always done in their career.

Without much ado, let’s bring to you some Nigerians players to look at for who would be involved in action when the Premier League kicks off.

7. Frank Onyeka [Brentford]

The central midfielder had a decent first season for the Bees having joined from FC Midtjylland. The Ebedei product will be hoping to stamp his authority and make a new for himself in the 2022/23 campaign.

6. Kelechi Iheanacho [Leicester City]

"Senior Man" Kelechi tried his best despite not being the first choice striker for the Foxes last term. His intelligence and brilliance in front of goal always makes him an option for coach Brendan Rodgers.

5. Alex Iwobi [Everton]

Injuries and inconsistencies initially marred Iwobi’s career at Everton. But the Arsenal product found his form when Chelsea legend Frank Lampard took over the reins. He should be one the Toffees key men.

4. Emmanuel Dennis [Watford]

Despite contributing 10 goals in the 2021/22 season, Emmanuel Dennis couldn’t save Watford from relegation to the Championship. He has been linked to Everton and West Ham United. The former Club Brugge man should still be in the Premier League when the season resumes.

3. Wilfred Ndidi [Leicester City]

Nath Boys product Wilfred Ndidi endured an injury ravaged 2021/22 season. He will be starting on a new footing with his usual ball winning skills for the Foxes this time around. Trust him to deliver.

2. Joe Aribo [Southampton]

Aribo recently ended his three-year stay at Rangers after completing a move to English Premier League side Southampton in a deal worth around £10 million. The Nigeria international joined the Ibrox side in 2019 for a cross-border compensation fee of just £300,000 from Charlton Athletic and won the Scottish Premiership, Scottish Cup and helped the club reach the Europa League final last season when he scored against Eintracht Frankfurt before losing to the German side in a penalty shoot-out in Seville. He will be a valuable asset to the Saints.

1. Taiwo Awoniyi [Nottingham Forest]

During the current summer transfer window, Unicorn Soccer Academy and Imperial Football Academy product Taiwo Awoniyi joined Nottingham Forest from Union Berlin in a deal worth £17.5m. The striker who netted 15 goals in the German Bundesliga last season, will be hoping to make a positive mark for the Reds
