As the Nigeria Flying Eagles prepares for the Under 20 AFCON, the team boss is also setting sight ahead of the under 20 FIFA World Cup.
Nigeria’s Men U20 National Team head Coach Ladan Bosso boasts that the Flying Eagles have already qualified for the World Cup.
Bosso guided Nigeria to victory at the U20 WAFU B championship, securing a ticket for next year’s Africa U20 Nations Cup qualified the team.
The AFCON will also serve as qualification for the FIFA U20 World Cup, but the Flying Eagles coach is confident Nigeria will be in Indonesia.
A confident Bosso declared that the team had scaled its biggest hurdle – in Niger – and should have no problems reaching the World Cup.
In a chat with FL, the gaffer said the toughest teams that would have proven to be stumbling block to world cup qualification at the under 20 AFCON have all been beaten on their way to their WAFU B glory.
The Nigeria under 20 side beat Ghana, Ivory coast and Burkina Faso and the Coach believes South Africa and Mali won’t pose much threat to the Flying Eagles.
