As new seasons are about to start in coming weeks, clubs across African leagues are recruiting, reinforcing and beefing up their existing squad.

As Simba SC the mighty club and champions of Tanzania Premier League are in reinforcement period, scouting and poaching players across Africa for the defence of their title. The Nigeria League champions Rivers United are also reinforcing it's squad and are equally protecting it's players from being poached by other domestic and continental clubs as well.

NPFL Champions have rejected Simba SC approach to sign Midfielder Morice Chukwu from the club, as player is reportedly in club's plan next season for the defence of their league title.

▫️Rivers United Management is said to have refused to name player's price valuation and insisted Morice is “NOT FOR SALE”. The player according to club is a vital part of their CAF Champions League plans.

▫️ Morice had already agreed Personal terms with the Tanzania champions, penning a 2 year deal until 2024 and will earn $5,000 monthly salary.

Simba SC are one in few clubs in sub Saharan Africa that are reputable for hitting players with lucrative deals. They signed a multiple million dollars deals with a sport betting firm weeks ago.

After Rivers United objections for the sale of the player which contract will end soon with the Nigeria club and will not sign any extension, Simba SC Tanzania will now have to wait for Morice to see off the remaining 6 months of his contract in the NPFL team.

▫️The Midfield workhorse is respectful of Rivers United and won’t force the move to Tanzania 🇹🇿.
