"Mad oo": How Osimhen Four Goals against São Tomé Reignite Interest from Arsenal but £51m bid Rejected

Victor Osimhen fine form both for club and country continues as he unleashed his "Napoleonic traits" and offensives against poor São Tomé and Principé on Monday 13th, June.

"Baba" has been one of the hot cakes and top nine available in the market for top guns. His goals has been proving critics wrong as he has showed his worth as a top and emerging elite striker.

Arsenal Now Rethinking after Osimhen Goals

According to some sources reported by sports ration, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has renewed interest in Napoli’s £67m rated striker Victor Osimhen. The Nigerian striker proved his worth as he scored four goals in Nigeria’s 10-0 rout of Sao Tome and Principe.

The Napoli and Super Eagles striker was star of the show in a 10-0 thrashing of Sao Tome and Principe in Nigeria’s second 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Group A qualifier played in Agadir Morroco on Monday 13th June 2022.

In recent weeks, Osimhen has been on Arsenal's radar and linked with a move to Mikel Arteta’s side but the Italian clubs robust player's valuation plus the player reluctance to demand for a transfer has bane for progress to have been made.

The hungry for the Super Eagles man was no more there and interest cooling down after the Gunners failed to meet Napoli’s valuation, coupled with questions whether the striker is worth that money by pundits and football analysts, Victor Osihmen’s four goal haul on international duty again showed why Napoli will not let their prized asset go without commiserate economic returns.

Arteta’s side are in search of a new and top strikers this summer, with the former Lille forward, Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus and Sassuolo’s Gianluca Scamacca topping the list of targets.

Arsenal are desperate to fill the void of their already two departed strikers, Aubameyang and Lacazette quickly ahead of the upcoming 2022/23 season.

Base on reports, Victor Osimhen’s agent was in London for talks with Arsenal about a potential transfer last week with Napoli’s valuation of the 23-year-old forward the major obstacle. Mikel Arteta has again asked the club to push through the deal for Victor Osihmen who he thinks will fit into his plans for the club next season.
