WestHam Star Set to be Punished for Animal Welfare Offences:

Earlier this year February precisely a video went viral in which West Ham central defender Kurt Zouma was seen kicking and slapping one of his pets.

One would think that the action carried out by the Frenchman wasn't something that would result to any serious punitive measures.

But after the video released by the defender's young brother Yoan went viral the reverse has been the case for the former Chelsea defender.

Kurt Zouma Broke the Animal Right Act

Kurt Zouma was fined a reported £250,000 (2 weeks wages) and was dropped by a number of sponsors one of which was Sports giants Adidas in a deal believed to be worth £100,000 a year, he's been booed by rival fans during much games this season and has also been subjected to taunting chants.

While his younger brother who plays for Dagenham and Redbridge in the national league was suspended before returning to the squad in early March.

However following the incedence, the RSPCA (a body in charge of protecting animals and responding to cruelty reports about animals) had liased with the Essex police and had carried out an investigation into the incident.

Following an RSPCA investigation Kurt Zouma and his brother Yoan has been accused of two offences. A statement released by the RSPCA reads:

"Kurt is accused of causing unnecessary suffering to the cat  by kicking it's abdomen and slapping it in the head. He also failed to protect the cat from pain suffering, injury or disease". On the other hand his brother Yoan is accused of two counts of aiding, abetting, counseling or procuring" Kurt to commit the offense of causing unnecessary suffering to the cat.

The Zouma brothers are set to appear at Thames magistrate Court tomorrow for a first hearing.
